Eurogamer.net: April 21, 2020 at 06:55AM - Death Stranding's PC release delayed to July

Following delays to games such as The Last of Us Part 2 and Iron Man VR, the latest title to be affected by the coronavirus lockdown is Death Stranding, with the game's PC version pushed back to July.

Originally scheduled for release on 2nd June, the PC version will now launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store on 14th July. Kojima Productions explained the delay was caused by the temporary closure of the studio, and that more development time was required thanks to work-from-home orders.

A delay of six weeks is entirely reasonable given the difficulties presented by the coronavirus lockdown situation, and hopefully this will give the development team some much-needed time to finish things off. If you want a preview of what to expect from the PC port, make sure to check out Richard Leadbetter's exploration of how the game could run on PC. Oh, and you can also look forward to some Half-Life headcrab hats when the PC version does arrive.
